Robert's unique sound seamlessly integrates electronic, electric, and acoustic instruments and the exploration of complex just tunings. His all-night Sleep Concerts, first performed in 1982, became legendary in the San Francisco Bay area. He founded the experimental band Amoeba. He has also done sound design for numerous television and film scores, including Pitch Black, Crazy Beautiful, and Behind Enemy Lines.
