In 1995 was released Govi's fifth album "Guitar Odyssey" (his last album at present), which became another event in modern music. "Guitar Odyssey" came out to be very alive and sparky. In this album Govi again has mixed Caribbean rhythms, flamenco and Indian melodies, having added in the music oriental contemplation and meditative bliss. On the music this album is more close to American Indians music: during the recording of "Guitar Odyssey" has used south-american flutes with a characteristic, very pure sound. As you maybe have guessed, Govi's friends Karunesh and Anugama, as earlier were not aside! The result of their participation were arrangements which can be named perfect. Success of this album was impressive: "Guitar Odyssey" was included in the top ten of the best new age albums of 1997 in the "Billboard" hit parade and took honorable third place! Interesting fact: of this top ten albums 7 (seven!) albums are released by Real Music. Are you not impressed? On the Real Music address came a letter from an American teacher, who told that most boys and girls who study in her school like Govi's music more than reggae or rap.

However, those who know creative work of Govi, will not be surprised by these words. In a large and increasing popularity of the new age music is a big merit of this already not very young and a little bit Gypsy-like looking man. Simply this music is a music of freedom, it is really spiritual. The main thing in it is a spontaneous joy to everything which exists, it has no reason, and nobody can spoil or take away this joy. Govi's music comes to the very roots of a human being.

Transparent sound. Light and beautiful melodies. Clear, pure and joyful music. All these epithets belong to the new album by Govi named "Guitar Odyssey".

Govi's music is a bright cocktail of guitar rhythms of flamenco, masterly mixed with latin-american flutes and percussion. Very good are the first fiery "Sails Of Joy", lyrical "Turquoise Galleon" containing smooth guitar passages, slow "Lovers Moon" and soft "Beach Fire Dancers". Govi can be named a real virtuoso of guitar, and everything which he performs is very beautiful. His music is really an adventure full of pleasure, flight of spirit in a space pulsing with joy.

In the album released by Real Music, everything is though over in detail, from very aesthetic outlook of the CDs to its master sound-design. And if I add that in the record of "Guitar Odyssey" took part such famous musicians as Karunesh and Anugama, then I think that every New Age fan would love to have this album in his collection. Still this CD is light for comprehension, so it would be interesting for those who are not acquainted with this kind of music. "Guitar Odyssey" is a perfect possibility for a first acquaintance with the New Age music.
