Each album of David Arkenstone is an exciting journey to unknown lands, as in each project the artist is not afraid to explore new territories. The album “Lovéren” which was created in collaboration with vocalist Charlee Brooks, is not an exception.

Bright and memorable tunes with charming singing stir the soul from the very beginning. Charlee Brooks sings a mermaid love story in a new language. Her vocals remind one of such great artists as Enya and Sarah Brightman at their best. And there is no need to know this mermaid language because these are pure emotions coming from the depths of the soul, these are songs of love itself.

The arrangements of David Arkenstone, as usual, are masterfully crafted. The artist mixes celestial new age singing with polyphonic orchestrations, electronic keyboards, raw world beats and sweet pop tunes into a boiling pot of integrated universal music. By the way, the Nashville Soul Choir also took part in the recording of this project bringing to it their heartfelt singing.

David Arkenstone continues to amaze the listeners. He is not afraid to experiment and go ahead. “Lovéren” is one of the most impressive albums which I listened to in recent times. Charlee Brooks' vocal debut with the multifaceted global house music of David Arkenstone has appeared very successful and I look forward to hear the continuation of their joint creative work.
