Balance of Power

From the beginning of time
A strong fear overruled mankind
That death was there all along
And try to stay alive is the meaning of it all

So then what’s after, what’s on the other side
It’s nothing or something or upon you to decide
Fear of the unknown, emptiness doubt
But when you are a soul you’ll know what’s all about

Since the premature forms of life there always have been
A power which took over your will
You’d harm n’rape n’kill and still give no shit
But your hearth felt cold and heavy
And this powers’ name is guilt

Is it this or something more,
A force beyond our twisted minds
Do we really feel guilty,
Or we broke the balance of power

Is it true that we are driven
Away from the Kingdom of heaven
That someone makes us do it,
Someone who hides within
The temptation that never goes away
And drives us into the depth of “hell”

But we are doomed not to feel the truth before
Our bodies will be driven into decay
