(Parody of The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald by Gordon Lightfoot)
The legend lives on from the Oregon shore
To the straights that they call Juan de Fuca
A ship ran ashore
And from out of it poured
That bunker fuel from New Carissa
They brought in some rope
From that place with good dope
And straight out to sea
They then towed her
That crew should be fined
Cuz that squirt stayed behind
And there's tar-balls and dead birds all over
And the press said okay
It had been a good day
When she went down
To Davy Jones' locker
If my oyster gets screwed
From that sticky black goo
I guess we won't know till I shuck her
Well no one will
Say that they messed up Coos Bay
And they'd all just as soon we forget her
And it could have been worse
Atleast it brought in a few tourists
But it sure as hell could have been better
