Wiki pateikia tokią Pete Townshend citatą apie šią dainą: „I didn't have a song for them to work on, and sat down very, very quickly and rifled threw [sic] a box of stuff, said to Dave, "Do one of those kind of ricky-ticky-ricky-ticky things, and I'll shout 'Give Blood!' in the microphone every five minutes and let's see what happens." And that's what happened. Then I constructed the song around what they did.“.
Tiesą sakant, daina tikrai taip ir skamba, Dave (t.y. David Gilmour) užvarė būtent tokią fainą gitaros liniją, Phillips'o ritminė sekcija kaip niekada smagi, o Palladino bosas – very groovy. Žodžiu, iš instrumentinės pusės visiška perfekcija ir net išlaikoma ta charakteringa 80-ųjų eros dvasia muzikoje. Nu ir vyšnaitė ant torto yra būtent tas dainos sukonstravimas į vieną kūną, už ką jau dėkojame pačiam Townshend'ui.
Užskaitau šitą man iššokusį Spotify pasiūlymą. 10 balų. Ir jau reikia pradėt graužt nagus, kad niekada nesugebėjau The Who narių solinėmis karjeromis pasidomėt normaliai.
