Wrap me in linen
And show me to my tomb
Fashioned from sheets we’ve shared
And things I’ve yet to prove
And the glue is the hope that any promise I spoke
To my seat or myself or any person of note
Would be made good while I’ve still got the time

It’s not as depressing as it sounds
Just want to be prepared
I’m in no rush to end it
But look at it from my perspective

I’ve messed with confidence and never understood
If you’re not afraid then you’re not doing all you could
And I know that there’s love because I’ve seen it myself
And I’ll be damned if I don’t move because I’m scared to cross the road
I’ve never felt so much that I’d arrived
