Though only a few did follow him
Amongst Israel's sons
He never stopped a'calling

Some disbelievers had a plan
Would nail him to his death
God made it look as if they did

Now just before he lifted up
He gave the world the news
That God would send a comforter
With the Spirit of Truth
And he would be His witness

While many people know him
