Stogą raunanti daina. Pastaruoju metu daug klausiau TesseracT'ų, pernaršiau jų diskografiją, galima sakyti, ir šiai kompozicijai artimiausias atitikmuo manau rastųsi albume Polaris. Tekstas, kaip ir daugelis Tompkinso dainų žodžių, pasakoja asmens tragediją, negebėjimą socializuotis. Dainoje The Grey ypač pabrėžta herojaus egzistencijos pilkuma, jo kova su baimėmis, jo įsisąmonijimas, jog yras bejėgis ką nors pakeisti, jog niekam nerūpi, ar jis su tuo susitvarko. Iš čia gimsta pyktis visuomenei ir noras gauti "momentinį pasitenkinimą" bet kokių būdu. Žūdyk silpnesnį, kariauk savo karą - manau reikėtų suprasti, kaip individo desperaciją, žiauriausiais metodais pademonstruojant savo nepasitenkinimą.
Po kelių albumo perklausų buvo mano nr. 1. Dabar nebežiau - titulinė kompozicija labai arti, kad persvertų lėkštę. Bet kokiu atveju- 10.
