It was after midnight
When the truck drivers called to hear their songs
It was my broadcast to the lonely
Transmitting till the early dawn
I'm thinking about some days long ago
Looking down from this mountain
It's funny how I found myself back then
While I was busy trying to be someone else

True believer radio
True believer radio

All I had was my stack of songs
And my own rules to play by
Now I'm here with my painted rose
And all I learned talking through that microphone

True believer radio
True believer radio

I travelled through the airwaves bouncing with the sounds
Of all my heroes
Creating the soundtrack of myself
Through a maze of ones and zeroes

It was my
True believer radio
True believer radio
It was my
True believer radio
True believer radio
