Which like a bluish black band is tending to eternity?

Whose silent song will you listen to

Among the splashing waves?...

Gandalf’s new album is like a music–travel which invites you to start a voyage on a board of a small vessel sliding smoothly on the waters of the sacred river. Where are the waters of a great river carrying you to? How will this voyage change you and what are you predestined to see and undergo while traveling? But a glassy surface of the river is enveloped in a thick mist, and you just rely on the current and drift with it to obscurity not worrying about the future. The river will carry away the weight of the life that is run through, it will wash you over with its sacred waters, and you will feel easy and free of burdens of bygone sorrows, failures and disappointments. The future is harboured from you but you feel that everything will turn out well and somewhere in the distance a joy and love are waiting for you. And in gentle splashing of somnolent waves you hear silence and in this silence you begin to realize suddenly that something starts to penetrate into you and you become a single whole with the Existence…

Not by chance in the period of recording the " Sacred River" album Gandalf was inspired with German Hesse’s novel " Siddhartha" . Moreover the musician recalled his voyage to India that he made many years ago during which he chanced to be at the great Yamuna river. This experience which exerted a tremendous influence upon Gandalf had an effect on the music of the " Sacred River" album.

And it must be said that the sounding of an Austrian musician’s new project is really divine! In a masterly fashion Gandalf arranges an acoustic nylon and steel string-guitars, electric pedal-guitar with keyboards, percussion, a piano, a bouzuki, interesting soundsamplers and sounds of various bells just creating his peculiar, a very refined style which is like nothing on earth. His music is such an exquisite one that a listener just wants to swim with a smooth stream having left behind all troubles and problems.

Still Gandalf’s music is meditative, it is free of vanity and aggression. The performer just proposes to a listener to open his heart and stay tete-a-tete with himself, to plunge into the innermost of his heart.

It is not only a magnificent music that attracts you in " Sacred River" but a refined, sharp-cut up to the smallest nuances sound-design of the disc as well. However all the albums issued by Real Music are famous for their magnificent, extremely rich sound.

What is waiting for you in advance? Having listened to this album once you want to live and begin to look into the future more optimistically since the waters of the sacred river will protect you against all misfortunes and will deliver you without fail to the land where you shall be happy. And this happiness is already existing in you, here and now, and it will be constantly on the increase…
